Brief Overview

Welcome back to this week’s Stocks to Watch!

We hope you were all able to relax and have a great weekend! Bitcoin has been ripping and markets are surging making new highs every week. It’s the market scenario we are in right now!

We’re excited to get back to the action with some big names filling up the Earnings Calendar this week. We’ll hear from top names like LMT, KO, T, TSLA, GOOGL, CMG, QS, AAL, & LUV all scheduled to report.

Looking back at last week…

Monday: Tariff Talk Keeps Markets Near Record Highs
Markets opened the week on a steady note. The S&P, Dow, and Nasdaq all inched up as fresh 30% tariffs on EU and Mexican imports were announced—but traders seemed hopeful a deal could still be struck before August. Techs, financials, and small caps showed modest strength, and Bitcoin jumped back into the crypto spotlight.

Tuesday: Futures Dip, Earnings Season Kicks Off
Markets teetered early as futures dipped slightly ahead of a key sequence of earnings and inflation data. Defensive sectors stayed playable, and long-term Treasury rates held steady thanks to mixed economic signals and continued chatter on tariffs.

Wednesday: Surprise Rally After Tariff Pause Hopes
Midweek trading picked up pace. Techs led a rebound on renewed speculation that tariff threats might be put on ice if trade talks showed progress. The S&P and Nasdaq climbed higher, pushing toward fresh record territory as Treasury yields eased.

Thursday: Quiet Markets Ahead of Data
Markets traded sideways as investors waited for key inflation numbers and more earnings. Big tech stayed resilient, but gains were capped. Volatility dipped as traders took a breather after midweek’s stronger moves.

Friday: Records Set, Weekly Rally Locked In
The week wrapped up on a high: the Nasdaq notched its fifth straight record close, the S&P hit another all-time high, and the Dow just edged out the prior week. Mixed earnings and steady inflation data helped offset tariff jitters, sending the S&P up about 0.6% and the Nasdaq roughly 1.5% for the week.

Takeaway
It was a week of trade tension mixed with optimism. Despite tariff noise, markets held strong thanks to solid earnings and easing bond pressures. Tech continues to lead, inflation looks manageable, and traders are cautiously upbeat as we head into the summer.
