We finally saw a trend break on SPY this week as we kicked off the second quarter of the year. Is this the beginning of the fall or will we see a rebound back to the recent all time high trend? The break in the recent trend could likely be attributed to the Ukraine and Russia war as well as tension between Iran and Israel heating up causing fear and uncertainty across the markets. Another contributing factor could have been cause by a statement made by Federal reserve of Minneapolis President Neel Kashkari, on Thursday, casting doubts over whether rate cuts will even be necessary this year. We will have our eyes on the market sentiment as we navigate the week ahead.

Some key sentiment factors will come later in the week with earnings from BLK as well as some top banks (JPM, WFC, C) all scheduled to report on Friday morning. Keep an eye on any contracts with a 4/12 expiration!
