News and Earnings reports had the markets in a whipsaw this week with Tesla reporting positive news regarding EVs in China and China names moved to multi-month highs. PPP Team will be ready to pounce on bullish opportunities in tickers such as BABA, JD, PDD. We’ll be watching out for rejection moves there as well and keeping eyes on the sector to observe strength/weakness.
Tuesday & Wednesday were rough with AMZN earnings falling shy of 2 Trillion market cap achievement, FOMC interest-rates, Chairman Powell on the microphone pushing the same narrative dismissing risks of rate hikes, and mixed earnings on Semiconductor names.
EV & China names continued to surge Thursday with Rivian receiving $827 million to expand their Illinois plant and Apple reported better than expected earnings after close, pulling the market from the depths with a gap up on Friday.
Earnings are still in full swing this week with some recent PPP Alert names like MARA, RBLX, ABNB, PLTR, HOOD, OXY, UBER, U & RIVN as well as DIS, SHOP, CLSK, LYFT, APP and CELH all scheduled to report.
Light week ahead in terms of Fed Economic Reports with Consumer Credit coming in on Tuesday and Fed Vice-Chairman Jefferson speaking on Wednesday.
