Monday: All-Time Highs and Quarterly Cheers
Markets withstood a roller‑coaster June to finish strong: the S&P 500 hit a record, Nasdaq soared, and the Dow surged. Q2 closed out with solid gains—S&P up ~11%, Nasdaq ~18%, Dow ~6%. Tech, AI plays, and easing trade concerns kept the energy upbeat. 🇺🇸
Tuesday: Holiday Thin Trading
Trading was light ahead of the holiday—but markets stayed steady. Investors kept their eyes on upcoming jobs data and Fed expectations, while U.S.–Vietnam trade chatter gave some calm vibes to global markets.
Wednesday: Markets Climb Ahead of Jobs Report
Markets edged higher as traders braced for the June jobs update. The S&P and Dow both gained ~0.8%, and the Nasdaq was up about 1%, while bond yields ticked up. Optimism was fueled by solid wage growth and stable inflation—alongside continued chatter around a potential Fed pause.
Thursday: Jobs Jump, Markets Surge Again
Friday came early with fireworks in the labor market—147,000 jobs added in June, unemployment dropped to 4.1%, and bond yields spiked. Markets responded well: S&P +0.8%, Dow +0.8%, and Nasdaq +1%. All three hit record highs again, signaling strong risk appetite going into the long weekend.

It was a banner week—Q2 ended strong, and hot jobs data fueled fresh record highs. With markets shrugging off trade worries and focusing on growth, July kicked off on a high note. Keep in mind: yields and macro signals will be key as the Fed’s next move approaches.
