01The Empire, Itemized asset by asset · live + estimates

Public-market pieces (DJT shares, tradable tokens) reprice continuously. Real estate, resorts and the licensing business are appraisal-style estimates with an explicit low–high band — the honest way to value an illiquid fortune. Every line links to its source.

02The Stock Trades public-equity buys & sells · live gain/loss

Trump's federal filings disclose a torrent of stock trades run through fully discretionary, third-party-managed accounts — the Trump Organization says on automated systems with no family input. They're still filed under his name, so we reconstruct them here: the tickers, the buys and sells, and how each position has performed since. Amounts are disclosed only as ranges, so values are estimates.

03The Money Moves Ledger

Trump doesn't file STOCK Act trade disclosures like members of Congress — his "trades" are deals: token launches and unlocks, share lockups, licensing agreements, legal settlements, asset sales. This ledger logs every major documented move, newest first.

07Methodology & Honest Limits

07.1 · How the number is calculated
net worth = (DJT shares × live price) + (crypto allocations × live token prices, locked tokens discounted) + (real estate + resorts + brand, appraisal estimates) + cash & bonds − debts & judgments

The DJT share count comes from SEC filings. Crypto allocations come from the projects' own published tokenomics, on-chain data and Trump's federal financial disclosures, and reprice continuously against live token prices — with locked or vesting allocations haircut, because billions of tokens could not actually be sold at the screen price. Real estate, golf resorts and the licensing business only move when new appraisals, transactions or credible reporting arrive.

07.2 · Why a range, not one number

Because most of this fortune is illiquid, a single figure would be false precision. Tesla shares have one price; Mar-a-Lago does not. Every estimated line carries a low–high band, and the bands roll up into the range under the headline number. Forbes and Bloomberg publish single figures and still disagree with each other by billions — the truth is a range.

07.3 · Where the data comes from

SEC EDGAR filings for the DJT stake (watched automatically), the projects' published tokenomics and vesting schedules for $TRUMP and WLFI, Trump's annual OGE Form 278e federal financial disclosure for income and business detail, court records for judgments and settlements, and reported valuations from Forbes, Bloomberg and major outlets for the properties. Every line in the breakdown links to its source and shows its confidence level.

07.4 · What is deliberately NOT counted

Trump Media's own bitcoin treasury (that value lives inside the DJT share price — counting it again would double-count). Future licensing fees not yet contracted. The Trump Organization's revenue as such (we count asset values, not revenue). Family members' holdings — sons' ventures like American Bitcoin belong to them, not to Donald Trump personally. Where his personal cut of a family venture is unclear, the line says so.

07.5 · How accurate is this?

It's an estimate, same as Forbes and Bloomberg — and they routinely disagree with each other by more than a billion dollars on Trump specifically, mostly over how hard to discount the crypto. Share counts and token allocations are documented; property values and private-business values are informed estimates. The cross-check strip on the board compares our number to both trackers continuously, and if a gap opens past the thresholds, the status lamp flips and we reconcile.

07Frequently Asked Questions

What is Donald Trump's net worth right now?

The live number at the top of this page is our current estimate, rebuilt from SEC filings, his federal financial disclosures, live market prices and sourced valuations. As of mid-2026 it sits around $6 billion, with an honest range because most of the fortune — real estate, locked tokens, a private brand business — has no exact market price. Forbes and Bloomberg both track him too, and our cross-check strip shows how we compare in real time.

What stocks is Donald Trump buying?

His federal disclosures reveal thousands of stock trades through third-party-managed accounts. The standout was a February 2026 rotation: selling megacaps like Microsoft, Amazon and Meta ($5–25M each) to pile into the AI-infrastructure trade — Nvidia, Broadcom, Dell, Palantir, Synopsys, Super Micro and others — plus defense names (TransDigm, Axon), energy during the Iran conflict, and a gold hedge. The Stock Trades section on this page tracks every disclosed ticker, buy and sell, and estimates how each position has performed since. One Nvidia buy the week before the administration relaxed AI-chip export rules to China drew ethics scrutiny.

Does Donald Trump trade stocks, and are the trades legal?

Yes — but the Trump Organization says the trades run through fully discretionary accounts managed by third-party institutions on automated systems, with no input or advance notice from Trump or his family. They're legal and disclosed under the same ethics rules that require his periodic filings. Critics note he still ultimately owns and benefits from the accounts, and that some trades preceded market-moving policy decisions. Because the filings report only dollar ranges (never exact share counts), every value on this page is an estimate.

How much is Trump making on his stock trades?

We can only estimate it. His disclosed 2026 trades total roughly $220M–$750M in gross value across the managed accounts, and the positions we can reconstruct are up around 30% on their estimated cost — led by huge winners like Dell and the AI-hardware names, partly offset by megacaps he sold and rebought. Because amounts are filed as ranges, there's no exact profit figure; the Stock Trades section shows the estimated value and gain/loss per position.

How much of Trump's net worth is crypto?

A lot more than people realize. His 2025 federal disclosure reported roughly $1.4 billion of crypto-related income in one year — about $635M in $TRUMP memecoin royalties, over $500M from World Liberty Financial token sales, and ~$197M from the USD1 stablecoin venture — plus over $100M of bitcoin held in cold wallets. Counting token holdings (heavily discounted for lock-ups) and crypto cash, crypto-linked wealth is now roughly a third of the fortune, rivaling the entire real estate portfolio.

How many DJT (Trump Media) shares does Trump own?

Exactly 114,750,000 shares — about 41% of Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent of Truth Social — held in the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust with his son Don Jr. as trustee. SEC filings show he has never sold a single share. At DJT's 2024 peak the stake was worth over $4 billion; it has since fallen with the stock.

Did Trump really make money from the $TRUMP memecoin?

Yes — his own federal disclosure reported about $635 million of memecoin royalties for 2025, flowing through his company CIC Digital LLC. That's realized cash, separate from the value of the creator tokens still locked and vesting into 2028. His buyers fared differently: the coin trades about 98% below its January 2025 peak — $10,000 of $TRUMP bought on Inauguration Day was worth roughly $364 by mid-2026 — which is why we discount the remaining token allocation so heavily.

Does Trump still owe the $454 million New York fraud judgment?

Not currently. In August 2025 a New York appeals court threw out the roughly half-billion-dollar disgorgement penalty as an unconstitutional excessive fine, while leaving the fraud liability finding in place, and his $175M appeal bond was returned. The attorney general's appeal to reinstate the penalty is still pending at New York's highest court, so we show it as a contingent liability that isn't counted. What IS subtracted: the E. Jean Carroll verdicts — over $100 million with interest — now in their final appeal stages after the Supreme Court let the $5M verdict stand in June 2026.

Why is this tracker a range instead of one exact number?

Because a single number would be false precision. His DJT shares have an exact live price, but Mar-a-Lago doesn't trade on an exchange, and billions of his tokens are legally locked for years. Every estimated line carries a low–high band that rolls up into the headline range. Even Forbes and Bloomberg — using the same public facts — regularly land more than a billion dollars apart on Trump.

How much money has Trump made as president?

His June 2026 federal disclosure reported more than $2.2 billion of income for 2025 alone — roughly $1.4 billion of it crypto-related — a scale of in-office money-making with no modern presidential precedent. His net worth roughly tripled from about $2.3 billion in early 2024 to a $7.3 billion Forbes 400 peak in September 2025, though the 2026 slide in DJT stock and the tokens has since given some of that back. Roughly two-thirds of the gain traces to crypto, the rest to revived international licensing and a record year at the golf resorts.

Is Trump the richest president in US history?

Yes, by a wide margin — at roughly $6 billion he's worth about triple what he was at the start of 2024, and no other president has come close (adjusting for inflation, George Washington's fortune is usually the runner-up at well under a billion in today's dollars). He is also the first president to run active crypto ventures while in office.

How is Trump's wealth different from Elon Musk's?

Scale and shape. Musk's fortune (tracked on our Elon Musk tracker) is roughly 60 times larger and sits almost entirely in two stocks, so it moves with a ticker. Trump's is a conglomerate of a public stock, crypto tokens, trophy real estate, golf resorts and a licensing machine — harder to price, and increasingly driven by crypto rather than buildings.

Does Trump trade stocks like Nancy Pelosi?

Not personally — but his money does. His periodic disclosures revealed a third-party-managed brokerage account that made 3,711 trades in the first quarter of 2026 alone (rotating into AI and semiconductor names), plus $180M+ of muni and corporate bond purchases in 2025; the Trump Organization says outside managers have sole authority over those trades. The bigger money moves are deals — token launches, licensing agreements, settlements — which is what our Money Moves Ledger tracks.
